Why do we box God in.

Let me open it like this. We prevent God from providing us with what we need. When we worry, spiritually, we place God in this box, letting him know that he has no power over worldly things. God is clever with revealing himself. In Matt 6: 25, God reminds us that the bird neither sow nor reap, but God still feeds them. Then he asks, are we not worth much more then birds. We need to remember who has power over everything. Stop boxing God in and allow him to be your provider.

Dear Love,

Dear Love,

So many of us spend years trying to find you. We try to find you in books, we try to buy you with money. We try to understand who you are through music. We even try to synthesize you over the world wide web! The issue is!!! We're looking for you in all the wrong places.

"How you gon look fo sumthin ain ye ain even kno wat it look like?!"

Before you search, you must familiarize yourself with the identity of Love. You must also be aware of the origin of Love.

Now a days, church folks specialize in turning things into a cliché. But I gotta take you back to the source. Where do we learn to love from? TV?(all a dem soaps), Music? Internet? (All a dem Social Networks), Our Parents?(If you have any). This answer can be a mystery. I know for me it was. I grew up in a single home for a while(My father passed when I was 6), and when another dude stepped into the equation, it still felt like a single parent situation if you know what I mean. The only love I knew growing up was the love that my mom showed me by working hard to feed me, provide a roof over my head, and keeping the lights on. As I got older, I began to realized that love was being confined in this "work-hard box." I was lost! Here I was in my late teens/early adult years wandering aimlessly trying to figure out this love thing.

To make a long journey short, out of frustration, I came to the word of God with the absence of outside influence (The Church, cause they can make things sound cliche sometimes). I realized what I was look for was Christ himself. Everything that we need in somebody, we find it in Christ! When when we take time to understand Christ's character, we will have an accurate understanding of Love. The Identity of Love is Christ. Bottom line:This discovery was found in the word of God.

In conclusion, open up God's word! Seek to understand Christ's character. Fall in love with him. When you do that your search for love will end. God Promises if you seek his him, everything else(that husband/wife) will fall in its right place.(Matt 6:33).
