Waking up From Blogging Hybernation!

2012

I think now that the summer is here, I can finally allocate some time to my blogger. I know I've been very disconnected from you all (My 7 followers). Forgive me for failing you again world, but I am here to "attempt to make it up to you all!

UPDATES:

So this is what's been keeping me away from posting!!!!

But that shouldn't be a problem because NOW........

Yes, I graduated from oakwood university this past may. It was long overdue folks. This past semester has been rough with all of the responsibilities of being a Full-Time Student, a Full-Time Musician, a Full-Time Boyfriend, and a Part-Time APPLE INC specialist. Can you imagine the how a typical day with my social security number would be. I wouldn't wish that upon anyone! (I Promise). But you know guys, God knows the amount of weight I can carry. The obstacles he brought me through not only brought us closer, but increased my capacity to carry out his work! I feel stronger and my faith in him is at an all-time high. I've learned not to worry about things of this world. I have a new found desire to seek His ultimate will in my life. This past school year, my mind clutched on this this piece scripture found in God's Holy Word:

Matthew 6:33

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

You see folks, we tend to let the things of this world  trouble us, but you got to remember that God has it all worked out for us. We need to stop relying on what self can do and leave it in the hands of God. All that God requests is that we take the time to get to know Him for who He really Is. The more we seek God, the more you will realize that things are falling in place in your life. This past semester, I owed oakwood a over $2,500 with a side of classes that needed to be retroactively added from 2009 that amounted to $8,000. I don't have the best GPA, I'm not a US citizen, and times are rough for family contributions. To make a long story short, I financially clear for grad the day before commencement. Look at GOD showing off Y'all, Nuff Said!!!

As a grad-gift to myself, I decided to book a trip to my birthplace, Montreal, Canada. The Trip was awesome y'all! I need y'all to understand that this was the first real vacation I've ever taken in real life. I've been in this vicious cycle of work, school, and Gigs for the past 6 years of my life. It was very refreshing to leave the country and not have to worry about waking up to prepare for work, or toting around a heavy keyboard for a gig! I left on the June 6th and spent 6 days. I also took my Girlfriend with me to meet my family. Oh! I forgot to mention that I have Siblings in Canada lol. Tiff and I had a great time there. While up there, we got the chance to travel to Ottawa, Ontario to visit some more family. The city of Ottawa is very beautiful. It was awesome to actually spend time with my Family, but the best part of my trip was being able to spend it with my Girlfriend. ( yeah, I know I'm being mushy, but I really Love the ability to share my happy moments with her ;-)

Oh Canada.....
